Community Service
Bulletin Board
Community Service Opportunity sheets (teachers fill out to post jobs) will be located in the workroom by teacher mailboxes.
Teachers will fill out form and post on a gray paper on the bulletin board located at top of the main staircase.
Teachers can post as many jobs and as often as they want.
Students will check bulletin board for postings and take an application from the envelope.
After filling out the application the student will turn into the envelope marked “Completed Applications” on the bulletin board. We will take the applications daily from the envelope and put the completed applications for your job posting in your box.
Students may check the bulletin board during lunch, recess, or appropriate times designated by their teacher.
Hiring Process
Once applications are put into your box and the position is closed, it is the teacher’s responsibility to contact the students for an interview (if needed) or to hire them.
You can contact the student’s teacher through email or by leaving a note in their teacher’s box.
You can also let the student know they have been hired by filling out the community service hall pass (also located by teacher’s boxes) and placing it in the teacher’s box. The hall pass tells the student the job, the time, and where.
Log Sheet
The students will find their Community Service Log Sheet in an envelope on the bulletin board. It is their responsibility to keep this and update it for Super Achievers.
It is the teacher’s (who hired the student) responsibility to initial the minutes worked each day.
If you have any questions or suggestions please contact Lauri Cotton and/or Holly Whitehead.
